Sunday School Curriculum

Children and youth participate in age-appropriate classroom presentations, discussions, activities, and large-group singing and story times that reflect the seasons of the church year. They also lead special Christmas worship services and an annual Youth Sunday program for the whole congregation.

Pre-K through Grade 7
Children pre-K through grade 7 follow "Seasons of the Spirit," a lectionary-based and inclusive language curriculum. Throughout the year, youth read aloud from books from the Families All Matter Book Project focusing on diversity themes. The goal of the project is to challenge bias, create belonging, and change lives.

Our Whole Lives (OWLS)
Eighth grade students spend the year studying a unique curriculum on human sexuality. In addition, an age-appropriate OWL curriculum is offered on a rotation every other year for Kindergarten -1st
grade and 4th - 5th grade.

Service Opportunities
Mayflower supports children as they learn to use their hands to do God’s work in the world. Weekly offering is collected and given to people in need around the world. Children make decisions about items for a local homeless shelter and then collect those items within their classrooms. The 7th graders coordinate our March Food Share Program for the entire church. During the summer, we offer the “Summer of Service Program” each month, gathering youth and adults to share a meal and then do service work in our community.
