What do you think? What are your questions? What are your feelings? What are your insights? What are your stories? You will just have experienced the Reader’s Theater about death or you will be preparing yourself to enter into that worship experience. Let’s talk about it. Let’s learn from one another how to hallow death, make space for it in the sacred whole of our life, neither distancing ourselves from it nor giving it over to paid professionals to “deal with.”
Rev Sarah Campbell, author of the book Ars Moriendi et Ars Maerendi: A Guide for Progressive Christians (The Art of Dying and the Art of Mourning), and other members of the Threshold Ministry team will lead the discussion. The mission of the Threshold Ministry:
Dying and death of a loved one is a spiritual journey for individuals, loved ones, and the Mayflower community. Through education, presence and ritual, the Threshold Ministry is a resource for moving beyond death as a medicalized event, with particular attention to the time from the last breath until burial.
