Serving Our Neighbors
Meals on Wheels Meals-on-Wheels provides hot, nutritious, midday meals five days per week to persons age 60 and older and to others who cannot prepare adequate meals and are unable to leave their homes. Each meal provides one-third of the minimum daily nutrition requirement. Mayflower's annual contribution helps pay for food preparation and contributes to the cost of meals, plus a committed group of volunteers delivers meals for 5 days every 8 weeks. Mayflower has more than 30 volunteers who deliver 175-200 meals in an average week. We welcome volunteers who are available from 11:00 a.m. to noon on weekdays and have a car. To help with this vital service, call George Reimer at (612) 824-2518.
