2012 Stewardship Campaign Begins

"How Blessed We Are!" Watch this brief video for a glimpse into the vitality and energy that makes Mayflower a vibrant and dynamic church community.

An Open Letter to our Mayflower Friends

Count Your Blessings…
…is this year’s theme for the Stewardship drive that began Sunday, October 30, and will conclude on Consecration Sunday, November 20. We are thrilled to have Rev. Geoffrey Black, our UCC president and general minister, to lead us in worship that morning when we offer our 2012 pledges to be blessed.

Our ministry programs are vital to the health and continued growth of our congregation. Indeed, we have many blessings to count!
•  Our fifth year of the Lily Endowment grant that provides an annual $50,000 to support a full-time clergy whose work is primarily devoted to justice
•  Vibrant Christian Education programs and an Early Childhood Center that create opportunities for our youth to grow and learn
•  A congregation that continues to attract new members bringing fresh energy and faith into our midst
•  Members who volunteer countless hours to fulfill our mission and vision
•  A talented staff that responds to our needs and challenges our spiritual growth

The list could go on and on…

As we consider our upcoming pledges, the Stewies will be hosting a table in the narthex where you can ask questions and consider enrolling in electronic giving. This letter was mailed to each member of the Mayflower family along with a Consecration Sunday “Save the Date” card with our brunch RSVP. Make sure you return it and plan on attending!

Money doesn’t grow on trees, especially not these days, but by working together on a communal basis we can become the change we want to see in the world. In order to sustain our programs and work toward the day that we can fund an additional clergy person focused in justice, we need to step up to the plate (offering, that is) and use our resources wisely.
