Council is excited to share the updated 2022 Strategic Plan with the congregation! One of the roles of our church Council is to review and revise the church’s strategic plan every 5 years. This strategic plan contains our vision and mission, provides an overview of our core practices as a community, and shares our most pressing priorities as a congregation. It is used by the Leadership Team to guide their work and is referenced by multiple ministries and groups at the church as we work together to fulfill God’s dream of justice.
Here is a direct link to view the proposed 2022 Strategic Plan.
The Council spent over a year revising the draft through deep engagement with the leadership team and a thorough review of all of the congregational feedback from the previous 2 years (ex: Building Our Dreams conversations, 2020 Congregational Survey, Powerful Question responses). We are confident that the revised plan retains the values of our church community while also calling us boldly into the next 5 years.
We will vote to approve the revised strategic plan during the November congregational meeting on November 6th after the 11:00 am service. Before then, please spend time reviewing the strategic plan on the Mayflower website and attend one of our listening sessions to provide any thoughts or feedback. The dates and times of these listening sessions are below. You can also reach out to Leon Erstad or Claire Jackson-Stumbras if you have questions or if it would be helpful to connect one on one.
