Mayflower is doing communal, deep soul-searching in the wake of the murder of George Floyd in 2021, which set off a reckoning with racism and colonialism worldwide. Mayflower is also preparing for our 100-year anniversary in 2025. The question has arisen: Should we change our name?
Rev. Sarah Campbell decided to take some time away from church work and make a pilgrimage, from Mayflower in Minneapolis to the Mayflower in Plymouth, Massachusetts, during Thanksgiving week and to do some soul work.
