No matter who you are or where you are on life’s journey, you are welcome at Mayflower Church. We are an Open and Affirming, Peace with Justice, Earthwise, Immigrant-Welcoming, and Addiction Recovery Supporting congregation.
“At Mayflower, I am challenged to see church as more of a place to get involved more than a place to just show up on Sundays.” – Paul, new member
Do you want to be part of an effective progressive church, working for justice and embodying the extravagant welcome of God? Our New Members’ Orientation offers lots of information about history, beliefs, and ministries of Mayflower church and, moreover builds a sense of connection and friendship as you find your way in this community. Families are welcome and childcare can be available during class sessions if requested a week in advance. Contact Rev. Howard Bell or call (612) 824-0762 x140.
Mayflower Church requires no creedal affirmation or doctrinal assent for membership. We do ask all who join to “own” with us the following covenant, rooted in our Congregational history:
Affirming the sovereignty of Christ, we covenant with God and one another, binding ourselves in God’s presence, to walk together in all God’s ways, as they are made known to us in the words of scripture, the traditions of the church, and in our continuing search for meaning and truth.
